Review for book 1-
Guardian
5 star

I was given an ARC book for an honest review free of persuasion from the author or anyone else affiliated with this book.

CONTAINS SOME SPOILERS

This was a really good start to this series!  I love stories about vampires and werewolves and this book did not disappoint.  It brought another side to the story with the introduction of the guardian.  I loved reading the development of the guardians powers.

John is struggling with his life.  A horrific car crash killed his girlfriend and 2 of his friends.  Why did he survive?  How did he walk away without a scratch from a car wreck that killed 3 others?  As John is struggling with his life and trying to cope, he starts having unexplained visions.  Is he completely loosing his mind?  John feels an unexplained urge to travel to Europe.  He decides that a fresh start is what he needs in life and flies to Europe.  What happens when John gets there?  Who is Gala and what role does she play in his decisions?

You really need to get this book if you like paranormal vampire romance stories!  I am off to read book 2.  I will let you know how that one goes!  Thank you J L McFadden for a good start to a great series that I am enjoying!

Review for book 2-
Choices
5 star

I was given an ARC book for an honest review free of persuasion from the author or anyone else affiliated with this book.

CONTAINS SOME SPOILERS

This was another good book by J L McFadden.  Once I began reading it, I was anxious to see what happened next.  The pages kept turning with all the action packed in this book.  You really need to read book 1 of this series to completely understand what is going on.

John is still further developing his powers as guardian.  He is at a loss for how to deal with Gala.  As her guardian he is tied to her and loves her, but her mood swings has him living on a constant edge.  Adela is trying to unite all the vampire covens.  She is growing in her ancient vampire strength and is using that to help her protect her coven.  There are a lot of choices both Adela and John must make as they grow in love and strength.  Will they be successful?  Will they fail?  Will either of them loose their life in their fight and struggles?

If you like action packed vampire stories with a little romance and steamy scenes, then this is  a book for you.  I was still left with a lot of questions at the end of the book, so I look forward to the next book in this series.  Thank you J L McFadden for a good read.
